Gator Creek Residence

This established Gator Creek estate had great bones: a gated community, tree-lined property with generous beds and a stately lawn. But years of growth had left the landscape overgrown in places and sparse in others. Our goal was a full revitalization: restore fullness, symmetry, and seasonal color while keeping the relaxed estate character intact.

At the driveway entrances, we removed dated screw pines and reframed the beds with clean sweeps of juniper wrapping each edge, centered on bold blue agave for structure and contrast. White fountain grass softens the borders, and the compositions are mirrored side to side for a balanced, symmetrical arrival.

Throughout the property, we filled bare and thinning areas with drifts of blue daze and additional juniper, layered in more bird of paradise to reinforce existing groupings, and introduced Panama rose for warm, tropical color. Tired azaleas and other struggling plants were replaced with healthier, fuller material.

On the sloping ground near the barn, flowering creeping groundcovers, Indian blanket and dune sunflower, adds a soft carpet of color across the grade. And to tie it all together, the entire landscape received a fresh two-to-three-inch layer of rich brown mulch, instantly polishing every bed.

The result is a fuller, more cohesive estate landscape that looks intentional and well-kept from every approach.
